Doğa Çitçi

Chef

Born in 1979, Doğa Çitçi began his culinary journey at the age of 10 in his family’s restaurant and has continued this path with the same passion and dedication to this day. A graduate of Mersin University, he has focused extensively on Anatolian Folk Cuisine, as well as Ottoman and Seljuk culinary traditions, conducting both academic and practical studies on historical recipes and traditional Anatolian food culture.


Experience

  • Gastronomy Coordinator at Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Kitchens

  • Founding team member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (Gastronomy) initiative

  • International Promotion Chef for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye

  • Member of the GastroANTEPFest organizing committee

  • Founding member of the Culinary Arts Center and Musem Academy

  • Currently serving as Coordinating Chef at Musem Academy

  • Participation in domestic and international gastronomic promotion events within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network

  • Workshops with international chefs and Michelin-starred chefs

  • Gastronomic promotion activities abroad on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism

Doğa Çitçi has also taken part in numerous high-level protocol events, actively contributing to receptions and official ceremonies hosted at presidential and ministerial levels.

He also conducts field research on Anatolian culinary culture and is currently working on transforming this knowledge into a book project.
